
Sweet Potato Roll/Kamote Roll
This product is an innovate that is a combination of the existing products of camote cue and turon. It is made of mashed sweet potato, condense milk. We name it “Kamote Roll” since it is rolled in the lumpia wrapper after frying it. To add the abundance of the taste and aroma, we simmer it with choco syrup and desiccated coconut.
These are the vitamins and minerals that the primary ingredients contain. Among some of the vitamins contained within sweet potatoes other that vitamin A and vitamin C, you’ll find iron, copper, manganese, vitamin E, vitamin B6. Sweet potatoes also contain beta carotene which the body can convert into vitamin A.
Kamote Roll is a Filipino delicacy that is so easy to prepare and also so affordable. This is also cheap, as cheap as the other street food products that only cost PHP 5.
To make your very own “Kamote Roll”
Prepare the following Ingredients:
*Sweet Potato/Kamote
*Condense Milk
*Lumpia Wrapper
*Chocolate Syrup
*Desiccated Coconut
Procedures:
- Wash the sweet potatoes then boil for 40-50 minutes or until its tender; set aside to cool.
- Peel cooked sweet potato.
- Mash the sweet potatoes using fork or masher.
- Add the condense milk to the mashed sweet potato and mix thoroughly.
- Place a spoonful of sweet potato mixture on a lumpia wrapper and roll like an eggroll.
- Deep fry until it turn into golden brown.
- Roll the fried sweet potato roll in desiccated cocount.
- Drizzle rolls with chocolate syrup.
- Serve with hot or cold drinks.
